Bearly Tawl's Purpose
Our purpose is to provide a warm and caring environment for children ages infant to Kindergarten.
We will always strive to give them a home away from home while their parents are working.
Our center will support the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of all children in our care.
We believe that it is very important for caregivers and parents to work together.
This cooperation will provide the best environment possible for children to grow and learn in.
About the Bearly Tawl Owners
Martha and Larry Baldon are Colorado natives and have been a team for the last 36 years.
They have lived in Lakewood for the last 34 of those years.
Prior to opening Bearly Tawl, Martha operated a state licensed day care home in Jefferson County for 22 years.
Larry has been self-employed in the carpet installation and repair field for the last 43 years.
They have one daughter, two sons, 4 granddaughters and 2 grandsons. Their grandchildren range in age from 2 to 15 years old.
During her years as a day care provider, Martha realized there was a growing need for infant, toddler and preschool care.
The need to help provide that care turned her dream into a reality called "Bearly Tawl Day Care Center".
Because so many centers wouldn't take children under 12 months old, she decided that she would start care at the age of 8 weeks up through the start of Kindergarten.
While following the guidelines set forth by the State of Colorado, Martha and Larry created a day care center that would be like no other.
In August of 1996 Bearly Tawl was at last ready to officially open their doors.
From the beginning Martha, Larry, their three children and many other family members and friends helped to make and create the center that you are about to see.
Bearly Tawl has always been family owned and operated and will remain that way.
Martha is also the director of the center and she and Larry are always on hand for any need that may arise.
They are constantly striving to be the best, brightest and cleanest center you will find.
Our children will grow up so fast. We at Bearly Tawl believe that, as partners with our parents, we need to make the most of these years while we can still make an impression.
One day they'll be pulling themselves across the floor on their tummy and the next they'll be heading off to college.
Enjoy your child while you have them for they are truly one of life's greatest blessings.
These small lives that are entrusted to our care, are the future of the wonderful country that we live in.
We will do all that we can to help them to "be the best that they can be"!
