The PreK 2 Room
Welcome to the PreK 2 Room! This room is the last stop for our preschoolers before they head for Kindergarten.
The ages in this room start at about 3 1/2 years old or potty trained up to age 5 or 6.
These children are mastering the skills they will need for Kindergarten.
If requested, reports on your child's day and progress are sent home at the end of each day.

Daily Activites
Children in this room continue to develope their skills in art using different mediums such as clay, finger paint, colors, markers and more.
They are avid music makers and love to sing and dance.
They are continuing to learn songs, rhymes, and games.
Concepts such as over/under, near/far and more are taught.
Phonics are also taught, so that they will have a jump on learning to read in kindergarten.
The children will learn about currency.
Advanced shape recognition is taught also.
Circle time is used to encourage the exchange of thoughts and ideas.
It also helps to continue developing their listening skills and cooperation skills.

Group Leaders and Room Ratios
The ratio for our prek 2 room is and 10 to 1. The Group Leaders are CPR and First Aid
certified.
Visiting Nurse
Once a month we have a nurse visit the center.
She is a Registered Pediatric RN.
She monitors each child's development and will address any concerns the center or parents may have.
Security
Our main building is equiped with panic bars at each exit.
This allows us to keep the doors locked from the outside at all times.
No one is allowed to enter unless we open the door for them.
However, from the inside the doors are kept unlocked during all hours of operation.
All designated parties picking up a child for the first time, that have not been introduced to the staff by the director, will have to show photo ID before the child will be released to them.
